I am a slacker

So my next post was in two more months. I have been so busy that this whole blog thing was totally neglected. Anyway on to some news.

So mainstreet church now meets in the new 795 campus. If you haven’t checked it out you should at 9 and 10:30 on Sundays. This also means that the 705 (Walbridge) campus have been going though some renovations. We have removed all the pews from the sanctuary, painted some walls and have been shuffling around some furniture. This also means that I will have an office, shared with the other part timers.

School is coming to a close. I have six more weeks and then I graduate. It is exciting but nerve wrecking because I don’t know what I am going to be doing after I finish. My internship is also coming closer to a close as well. Again this is nerve wrecking as well.

Basically I pray every day that God will provide something for me come the first of the year.

It has been a long time.

Ok it has been a long time. So much has gone on since my last post so I will try and fill you in on everything in chronological order.

First there was the mission trip to Mexico. This is the first time I have been on this trip and it was not what I was expecting. I don’t know what I was expecting but I know when I got there it was not it. Overall the trip was fun but I wish I had more time to develop relationships with the students that went. Because I work primarily with the middle school ministry I don’t get to hang out with these high school kids much. Here is the video of the trip if you want to see it:

The next thing was the Nashville mission trip. This trip was awesome. I loved hanging out with the kids there and I feel as if some amazing life changing events occurred during the trip. I was so excited about this trip going in and I am excited about the next opportunity to do something like this now that it’s over. Here is the video for that trip:

When I got home from the trip I moved back into my house! Hooray! I am excited to be back but I still have some things to do to get it back the way I like it.

School started. Not excited about this. However it is my last semester and that is a good thing.

Finally I got engaged. Sorry if you are finding out about this though a blog but I was thought that the word of mouth would have gotten to you by now. So I and Evelyn are planning on getting married at some point and that’s all the information I know as of press time.

That’s all I can think of so lets hope my next post is not in two more months.

Mexico

Well I leave for Mexico in seven hours. I have lots to do before that time so I will just tell you what happened when I get back.

Give me a break!

So I has just ridiculed at a family function because of my lack of blogging. Seriously I have no idea how many people actually make an appoint to read this thing so I don’t make it a high priority.

Well anyway I went to Nashville last week for a pre-visit for the middle school mission trip. I am excited about our upcoming trip. This is the first time our church is going though this CSM organization and I think it is going to be a good experience for all.

I read Under the Overpass by Mike Yankoski. This was the first time I ever read a single book in one nonstop session. It was very good. The premise of the book is two guys who spend five months living on the streets. It gives a good picture of the homeless world and how a Christian should react to this problem.

I am also working on a middle school student leadership teem. I have been planning what we will be doing and such and I am very excited about it.

But that’s about it.

Stuff

So last weekend was the national conference. It was a really cool experience. I got the opportunity to hang out with lots of kids for UB churches from around the states.

I need to spend some time on the website. I have neglected to do all the work I planned on doing. I just need to set a day to work on that.

Next week me Tim and John are going to Nashville for a pre visit for the middle school mission trip.

New Post

Ok. We are back online. Internet has been down for a while and now its back.

Tomorrow I leave for the National Conference. I will be gone till Sunday.

I am also trying to fill the schedule for Pools and Ponds. There is lots of phone calling and talking to answering machines.

Time needs to be found so I can update the website. It is a little outdated.

Tonight is the second to last dTeam meeting. I am working on a plan for the summer for a small group of 8th graders.

That’s all.
